Half the Sky Foundation-Nurturing care for China’s orphaned children
Half the Sky Foundation was created in 1998 by adoptive families of Chinese children in order to establish preschools and infant nurture centers inside of China’s orphanages. So far, there are more than 16,000 families supporting this foundation in the world. The donator and sponsor of this foundation are all adoptive families of Chinese orphans and disabled children. Created this foundation, the adoptive families appreciated Chinese government and Chinese people trust them with the Chinese children. These children brought lots of happiness for their families. Therefore, they wish they can return this deeply love for long time. In August of 2002, Half the Sky Foundation cooperated with China Population Welfare Foundation and China Association of Social Workers together organized Sisters Programs in Children Welfare Institution of China, such as “The Little Sisters’ Preschool Program”, “The Baby Sisters Infant Nurture Program”, and “The Big Sisters Program”.
